123JILI NBA Betting: How to Read American Odds and Game Lines

An NBA board looks like a wall of plus and minus signs until the format clicks. 123JILI NBA betting happens inside whichever of the two SPORTS books you enter, and reading its board is your job. Wizard of Odds, the reference this page leans on, writes NBA prices in American odds, so that is the format explained here; a book that shows another format explains it in its own help. About 90 searches a month go to “nba betting philippines” (DataForSEO).
123JILI NBA Betting Lines: Four Numbers, Counted Down
4. A plus number: +400. Wizard of Odds explains that +400 pays 4 to 1. In pesos, a ₱100 bet wins ₱400 and you keep the ₱100 stake. A plus number usually sits beside the underdog, which the Tennessee glossary defines as the team “not expected to win”.
3. A minus number: -600. The same source says -600 means you “lay 6 to 1”. You risk ₱600 to win ₱100. A minus number usually marks the favourite, and the bigger it is, the more you put up for the same win.
2. The chance hidden in the price. Wizard of Odds gives the rule: odds of x to y imply a probability of y divided by (x + y), so +400 comes to 1 divided by 5, or 20%, and -600 to 6 divided by 7, about 86%. Those are the book’s implied chances, not forecasts.
1. The standard price: -110. On spreads and totals, Wizard of Odds says the bettor “must generally risk $11 to win $10”, 4.54% in the book’s favour on a fifty-fifty game. The Tennessee Sports Wagering Council calls that difference the vigorish.
NBA game length and why it matters
The NBA’s own rulebook fixes three times:
- Each of the four regulation periods lasts 12 minutes.
- Each overtime period lasts 5 minutes.
- Fifteen minutes are allowed between halves.
That matters most for totals, because an overtime period adds points. Whether it counts is a house rule of the PAGCOR-licensed book taking the bet, so read that rule before betting a total.
NBA Betting Features: The Home-Court Figure and Other Traps
The home-court number. Wizard of Odds reports that, across 6,567 games from the seasons beginning 2013 to 2017, the home team won 58.4% of the time and scored 2.70 more points than the road team. That describes the past. It is not a tip for any game on tonight’s board.
Parlays. The Tennessee glossary defines a parlay as a single bet joining two or more bets, paying more only if every one of them wins. Wizard of Odds notes that a pushed leg is dropped and the payout shrinks to what the remaining legs pay. The more legs, the more ways to lose the whole slip. A four-leg parlay needs four separate results to go right, and one miss among them is enough to sink the slip.
Two checks, one rule. Check the sign before the number, and check whether overtime counts. The rule: the slip’s potential return is the only number that settles what you win, and no line is a prediction. A sportsbook needs its own PAGCOR licence for that game type, and its customers must be 21 at least.
The lobby itself opens in a phone browser, and the 123JILI app checklist covers what to look at before installing anything. Spreads and totals are unpacked step by step on the basketball betting spreads page. For a sport with a draw on the board, see the boxing betting draw lines. All four market pages sit on the 123JILI sports betting overview.
How to Get Started
-
Spot the sign in front of the number
A plus sign shows what a ₱100 bet wins; a minus sign shows what you must risk to win ₱100. Read the sign before the size of the number.
-
Turn the price into a chance
For odds of x to y, the implied chance is y divided by x plus y. Do the sum before deciding a price is attractive.
-
Check overtime in the house rules
Totals and spreads can change if overtime is played. Find the book's rule on it before the game, not after.
